Hinglish content marketing: the language your buyers actually think in

Hinglish content marketing means scripting in the mix of Hindi and English that South Asian professionals in Canada actually speak: English at work, Hindi at home, both in the same sentence. Two of our accounts were built on it and both are public.

Why does Hinglish outperform English for this audience?

Because it is the register the decision gets made in. A buyer weighing a down payment discusses it at the kitchen table in Hindi and signs the paperwork in English. Content in either language alone only meets them on one side of that.

It is also a targeting decision rather than a preference. Ravi Dhir scripts in Hindi on purpose so the reels land with the Punjabi and the Pakistani communities at once, which in the Kitchener corridor is most of the room. One script covered an audience two would have split.

What does Hinglish scripting look like in practice?

The hook carries the number and the emotion, usually in Hindi. The mechanics, the dollar figures and the program names stay in English because that is how people say them: FHSA, down payment, closing costs, CMHC. Nobody translates a mortgage term at home.

Captions run in English so the reel is searchable and readable with the sound off. The spoken track is where the Hinglish lives.

What does a Hinglish account look like after a year?

Ravi Dhir published 213 reels with us over fifteen months and averaged 67,118 views against the 1,736 his own 161 reels had managed before. Three of them passed a million. The account is public, so both halves of that comparison can be opened and counted.

Malika Mehrotra ran eight months and averaged 133,962 against her own 1,547, which is the largest lift we have measured on any account. Her four reels over a million are all diaspora life stories rather than property, and the inbound she reports is Vastu consultations. The content that earns the audience and the content that earns the call are rarely the same.

Neither number is a promise. The median is the honest planning figure: Ravi's typical reel did 8,167 views and Malika's 4,075, and the job is to publish enough of them that one gets the chance to travel.

Which industries does Hinglish content work for?

Every vertical we run, because the language decision is separate from the trade. Realtors and mortgage agents are the obvious fit, and the two accounts above are both real estate. It also carries a regulated vertical: our mortgage and insurance clients script in Hindi and English mixed for exactly the same reason, which is that a family discusses money at home in one language and signs for it in another.

It works outside professional services too. A car detailing shop in Mississauga found that its driving-rule reels in Hinglish reached 8.5 times what its service reels did, because the rules are what people argue about at the dinner table. The tint was the business; the conversation was the reach.

The one thing that does not transfer is the script itself. What works for a Kitchener realtor will not work for a Surrey one, and that is why the ideation call comes before any writing.

Both, depending on the audience. A reel aimed at recent arrivals leans further into Hindi; one aimed at second-generation buyers in the GTA sits closer to English.

Often, yes. Malika Mehrotra scripts in Hindi and her biggest reel is about a Pakistani woman buying alone, which travelled furthest among Pakistani viewers. Shared subject matter crosses the language line.

No, captions run in English. The spoken track carries the Hinglish; the caption has to be searchable and readable with the sound off.
