Social media marketing for coaches. Nobody enrols because of your syllabus.
They enrol because somebody like them got to the other side and it looked real. One nursing licensing coach had published 191 reels herself at a median of 920 views, on 500 followers. The 19 we published have a median of 82,652, and she is at 10,119 followers now.
Every number on this page comes from one client, Mandeep Dhaliwal, and only from inside our engagement: 19 reels between 5 July and 22 August 2026. The 191 reels she published before that are the comparison, not part of the total. Our second coaching client started on 11 August 2026 and appears on the roster with a follower count and nothing else. Everything here is organic Instagram, with zero ad spend behind it.
Why most coaching content reaches nobody new
A carousel of the module list. A reel explaining the exam pattern. A screenshot of a student's result with a heart emoji over it. Every coach in the niche is posting the same three things this week, to the same few hundred people who already follow them.
Then look at what actually travelled on our own coaching account. A comparison of what nursing pays and demands in two countries. A woman who qualified in Punjab and is working in Canada now. The coach's own two years on a factory floor because nobody told her how the process worked. None of those explains the exam, and between them they did more than 4.2 million views.
Nobody follows a coach for the curriculum. They follow because somebody standing where they are standing got out, and the coach is the person who seems to know the way. Once they are following, the procedure content does its job.
We script the route first, in the language the decision actually gets argued about at home.
The syllabus post
Modules, eligibility, which documents get assessed, how the rules differ by province. Useful, accurate, and on our own account these have a median of 52,206 views against 223,970 for a reel about somebody's route. The syllabus is why they stay. It is not why they arrive.
Batch launches and price posts
New batch starting, early-bird pricing, failed before? These have a median of 39,141 views and almost all of it is people already following you. An offer converts an audience. It cannot build one, and a feed of offers means the same few hundred people see everything you make.
A hashtag string instead of a caption
This is the one we actually fixed. Of the 19 reels on that account immediately before we started, 18 had no caption at all beyond a row of tags and nothing to do at the end. Every reel since makes one specific point and closes on a single word to comment.
Coaching marketing case study
One coach, 19 reels, seven weeks. Mandeep Dhaliwal is a registered nurse in Canada who coaches internationally educated nurses through the exams that lead to a licence here. She had been publishing for 39 months before us. The profile is public, so every number below can be checked.

See the profileWhich coaching reel actually gets watched?
All 19 reels, grouped by what the reel is about and ranked by median views. Same coach, same subject, same seven weeks, so the only thing changing between rows is what the reel talks about.
| What the reel is about | Reels | Total views | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| Somebody's route, or one country against another | 10 | 4,245,372 | 223,970 |
| Licensing procedure and eligibility | 5 | 206,062 | 52,206 |
| The programme, the price, general motivation | 4 | 188,464 | 39,141 |
A reel about the route outperforms a reel about the procedure by 4.3 to one on the median, and the two groups do not overlap at all: the weakest route reel did 72,068 and the strongest procedure reel did 70,729. Every one of the 8 reels over a hundred thousand is a route reel. That is the whole argument of this page. It does not mean stop explaining the exam: the procedure reels are what a person needs once they have decided, and on this account the two reels that fell back under her old best were the two most procedural ones.
Views checked on 24 August 2026 against a full scrape of the profile, 267 records going back to March 2023. Every reel was read and labelled by hand, caption and on-screen text both, because a keyword classifier is no use here: the word nursing appears in nearly every caption on the account.

Two so far, and this is the newest vertical we run. Both handles below are live profiles with a public follower count you can go and check yourself right now.
Dr Bhagyshri Mohan started with us on 11 August 2026 and is based in India. Her account has years of its own history behind it, none of it ours, and her biggest reels are all from before we started, so nothing of hers is counted anywhere on this page.
Coaching is the youngest vertical we run and the least local, because the student is rarely in the same country as the coach. The same team also runs our realtors, mortgage agents, insurance brokers, law firms, restaurants, car dealerships, car detailers and AI companies. Each page carries its own numbers, and each one leads on a different finding about what that audience actually watches.
What a coaching social media agency actually does
Most agencies hand you a content calendar and wish you luck. We research who is watching, write the scripts around the coach rather than the curriculum, direct the shoot, build the creative, publish it, and turn the comments into enrolment conversations. One 90 minute ideation call, one shoot block, and a monthly performance review is all we need from you.
-
Audience research and content ideation for coaches
We work out who is actually watching before a word gets written, and for coaching that is usually not where the coach expects. The nursing account is run from Canada and watched from Punjab, Kerala and the Gulf. Then a recorded 60 to 90 minute ideation call. The best scripts of the month come out of the coach's own students: the question they ask on day one, the thing they got wrong before they found you, the job they were doing instead.
-
Coaching reel scripts that lead with the route
Every reel is written in Hinglish, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi or English, and the mix runs roughly two thirds route to one third procedure. The route reels are the ones a stranger sends to a friend who is thinking about the same move. The procedure reels are what make somebody enrol once they are already watching. On the account we measured that split is 223,970 against 52,206 on the median.
-
Shoots in our studio, or directed remotely
Coaching is the vertical where the coach has to be on camera, because the product is the person. One shoot block a month covers the content. Clients near Mississauga use our studio; everybody else gets directed script by script over a Google Meet, which is how we run our India client. Most coaches already talk to a camera for a living and need less direction than they expect.
-
Reel editing built for watch time
Captions, pacing, hook framing and sound design tuned for how people actually watch Reels: muted, one-handed, late at night. Burned-in subtitles carry more weight in Hinglish and Marathi than in English, because most people read the line before they hear it. Read our breakdown of the editing mistakes that lose a viewer early.
-
Turning views into enrolment conversations
Every reel closes on one word. Somebody comments it, an automated DM goes out in seconds with the eligibility question or the booking page, and the conversation lands in a CRM. This is the change you can see from outside on the account we measured: of the 19 reels immediately before we started, 18 had no caption beyond a row of tags and nothing to do at the end. All 19 since close on a single keyword.
-
Meta and Google ads for coaches
OptionalGrowth stays organic. For coaches who also want paid reach we plan and run Meta campaigns and Google ads, and we run SEO on Uplift AI, our AI SEO partner. The best-performing ad creative is almost always a reel that already worked organically. The full method is on our Meta lead ads page.

The thing these have in common is not the subject. It is that the buyer is deciding whether a different life is available to them, and the course is the second question. We have measured the first row. The others are the same shape and we will say so plainly until we have the numbers.
Licensing and registration exams
NCLEX, REx-PN, CPNRE, and the provincial registration process behind them. This is the one we have measured, on a nursing coach whose median went from 920 views a reel to 82,652.
Language and immigration tests
IELTS, CELPIP, PTE, TEF and French classes. Same buyer as the licensing exams and usually the same person at a different stage, because the language test comes first.
Professional certifications
PMP, CAPM, cloud and accounting certificates. The audience is already working and is asking whether the certificate changes the salary, which is a route question, not a syllabus one.
Skill and business coaching
Anchoring, public speaking, content, and coaching for coaches. Our India client works here, in Marathi and Hindi. The proof on this page is not hers yet, and the page says so.
Social media marketing for coaches, answered
Not the syllabus. Across the 19 reels we have published on a nursing licensing coach, reels about somebody's route or one country against another have a median of 223,970 views. Reels about the licensing procedure itself have a median of 52,206, and reels about the programme or the price have a median of 39,141. The two groups do not overlap at all: the weakest journey reel did 72,068 and the strongest procedure reel did 70,729, and every one of the 8 reels over a hundred thousand is a journey reel.
No, and this is where it gets misread. The procedure content is what somebody needs once they have decided, and it is why your grid looks like a real practitioner's rather than a motivational account. What it cannot do is find you anybody new. On the account we measured, the two reels that fell back under the client's own pre-engagement best were the two most procedural ones. Lead with the route, keep the rulebook for the people the route brings in.
Faster than we would promise. She had published 191 reels herself over 39 months at a median of 920 views, and her best reel in three years was 20,671. The 19 reels we published have a median of 82,652 and 17 of them beat that all-time best. The full arithmetic, including what has gone against us since, is on the Mandeep Dhaliwal case study.
It is the right question. The biggest reel is 40% of the window's views, so delete it from the dataset entirely and re-run the maths: the median lift is still 84.1 times. The floor moved, not only the ceiling, and the smallest reel of the whole run still did more than ten times what a typical reel of hers used to do.
Reach per reel is cooling. On the nursing account July's median was 217,703 and August's is 53,672, which is a real fall inside a short window. It is still about 58 times her career median, so what has come down is the ceiling rather than the floor, and holding that floor is the current job on the account. We would rather put that here than have you find it.
Not yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Our second coaching client started on 11 August 2026 and appears on this page with a follower count and nothing else. She was already a large creator before us, with her biggest reels well ahead of anything we have produced for her so far, so any lift we quoted would be meaningless in both directions. Ask us again in three months and there will either be a number or an explanation.
Yes. Most of our roster is Canadian, and coaching is the vertical where that matters least, because the audience for a licensing or language course is almost never in the same country as the coach. The nursing account is run from Canada and watched from Punjab, Kerala and the Gulf. Our second coaching client is based in India and works in Marathi and Hindi.
Hinglish, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi and English. For coaching the choice follows the student rather than the coach: a reel about moving to Canada for work lands in the language the decision actually gets argued about at home, which is rarely English.
We do not. We script reach, and the claims a coach makes about pass rates, salaries or immigration outcomes are theirs to make and theirs to stand behind. Where a client's reel puts a figure on screen, our own copy attributes it to them rather than repeating it. If you want someone who will invent outcome numbers for you, we are the wrong agency.
12 videos a month, scripted, shot, edited and published across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. What we need from you is one recorded ideation call a month and one shoot block. Coaching is the vertical where the coach has to be on camera, because the product is the person. If you are not willing to be in the frame, this will not work and we will say so on the call.
What social media marketing for coaches comes down to
On the one coaching account we have measured properly, reels about somebody's route have a median of 223,970 views and reels about the licensing procedure have a median of 52,206, with no overlap between the two groups at all. That took a coach who had published 191 reels herself at a median of 920 views to a median of 82,652 in seven weeks, and it is written up in full, including what has gone against us, on the Mandeep Dhaliwal case study. One client is one client, and this is the newest vertical we run. The rest of the roster, and the eight other verticals it covers, is on our case studies page.
