Social media marketing for lawyers, in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and English.
Instagram Reels that make somebody call you first, in the language their family is arguing about the problem in. Organic lead generation for immigration lawyers, litigators and law firms, with paid campaigns when you want them.
Counted across the two firms below and only inside the months we have run them: Kapil Rathod from June 2025, when the account was created, and Nakul Chhibbar from October 2025. Both profiles are public and both say Managed by TheXMedia in the bio, so every figure can be checked. Reels and views are video only, so the two numbers describe the same posts. Combined following is today's public total. Everything here is organic, with zero ad spend behind it. Meta lead campaigns, for the firms that choose to run them, are a separate service and reported separately.
What does a legal reel actually do on Instagram?
These are the 12 biggest we have made for lawyers, from 2.9M views down to 521K, 13.6M between them across 2 firms. Ten open on a real client's situation rather than on the law. Every number is counted only inside the months we ran the account, all of it organic, and every card opens the live post so you can check it.
View counts checked on 17 August 2026. Every case is anonymised and posted with the client's consent. Drag or scroll the row to see the rest; it pauses while you do.
Why most law firm Instagram marketing gets ignored
A gavel on a stock background. A carousel of the four things you need for a spousal sponsorship. A quote from a judgment nobody outside the profession has read. Every firm has the same statutes and the same forms, so the feeds fill up with the same summary in a different font.
Nobody picks a lawyer off a summary of the law. They pick the one who described their exact situation before they had to explain it: the uncle whose PR sat untouched for three years, the wife whose name was never on the house, the driver who was rear-ended and lost two months of work.
That is a content problem, and it is fixable. It is also the part most firms will not touch, because telling a client's story properly means getting consent and stripping every identifying detail out of it first.
We script in the language the problem gets talked about in. That means describing the situation the way a family describes it to each other, in the language they describe it in. A Punjabi caption under an English video does not do that.
Firm-announcement posts
A new associate, an office photo, a call-to-the-bar anniversary. Nobody outside the firm has ever chosen a lawyer because of one, and the people who engage with them already know you.
English-only content
An English-only feed reaches the person and not the room. The decision to appeal a refusal gets made with family, in Punjabi or Gujarati, and the firm that already explained it in that language is the one in the conversation.
The statute instead of the story
Reels that open on the rule average 80,885 views on these two accounts. Reels that open on a real client's situation average 172,013. Same lawyers, same months, same disclaimers. A viewer cannot picture a section number happening to their brother.
Law firm marketing case studies
Two firms with almost no practice areas in common: an immigration, criminal and personal injury practice in Brampton, and a litigation practice in the GTA doing employment, family, estates and property. 219 reels between them. Both profiles are public, so every number below can be checked.
Kapil Rathod
Barrister and Solicitor, Rathod LawThe account did not exist before we built it. Biggest reel 2,935,962 views, median 61,228, now 63,397 followers.

Nakul Chhibbar
Naksar Law, GTAFive practice areas, none of them immigration. Biggest reel 558,031 views, on a workplace injury dismissal.
See the profileWhy do case stories beat legal explainers?
Because a viewer can picture a person and cannot picture a rule. Of the 219 reels, 102 open on a real client's situation and 117 open on the law itself. The stories average 172,013 views. The explainers average 80,885. The gap holds separately on both firms, 2.2 times on the immigration practice and 1.7 times on the litigation practice, which is what makes it a format rule rather than one account's quirk.
It is also the format that takes the most work to do properly. A client's matter only goes on camera with consent and with every identifying detail removed, and privilege does not lapse because a file closed. Doing that correctly is most of the job.
Does this work outside immigration law?
Every reel on both accounts, grouped by practice area and ranked by average views. Immigration carries the biggest total because it has the most volume behind it. It does not have the highest average.
| Practice area | Reels | Total views | Average |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal injury | 10 | 4,177,015 | 417,701 |
| Immigration and PR | 96 | 17,518,725 | 182,486 |
| Employment | 10 | 1,023,803 | 102,380 |
| Wills and estates | 7 | 694,839 | 99,262 |
| Civil litigation and fraud | 10 | 887,902 | 88,790 |
| Family law and divorce | 43 | 1,822,549 | 42,384 |
| Criminal | 16 | 569,856 | 35,616 |
| Real estate and property | 19 | 222,422 | 11,706 |
Personal injury has the highest average of any area on the page and only 10 reels behind it, because an accident is the one legal problem every viewer can already imagine happening to them. Real estate and property sits at the bottom for the opposite reason: a power of sale notice means nothing until you have one.
Views checked on 17 August 2026 against a full scrape of both accounts. Practice area was read off each caption, not inferred from the firm. Eight personal and behind-the-scenes reels are excluded from this table because they are not about a practice area; they are counted everywhere else on the page.

Immigration is not one of eight practice areas on this page. It is 96 of the 219 reels and 17,518,725 of the 27,009,010 views, which is 65% of everything this vertical has produced, and all of it sits on a single immigration practice.
A refusal letter arrives and the whole family reads it. The person deciding whether to appeal is not picking between two firms yet, they are trying to work out whether they still have a case. That question has an answer, and a reel that answers it gets forwarded to three other people holding the same letter.
The average immigration reel here does 182,486 views and the median does 71,832. Both numbers are on the page because the distance between them is the honest part: a few reels carry the average, including the biggest one in the whole vertical at 2,935,962, and the months in between are built on the median.
That account was created in June 2025 with nothing behind it. What it reached, which reels built it, and what we would repeat on the next legal account are written out in the Kapil Rathod case study.
Immigration lawyers get one advantage no other practice area on this page has: the audience is looking for the answer before they are looking for a lawyer. The work is answering the question in the language the family is already asking it in, and then being the name attached to the answer.
Lawyers and law firms we work with
Two firms, both live, both verified, both with Managed by TheXMedia in the bio. We keep this list short on purpose: two firms in the same practice area in the same city is a conflict we will not take.
Follower counts checked on 17 August 2026.
Legal is one of eight verticals we produce for, and the compliance work changes more than the method does. The same team also runs our realtors, mortgage agents, insurance brokers, restaurants, car dealerships, car detailers and AI companies. Each page carries its own numbers, and each one leads on a different finding about what the audience in that vertical actually watches.
What a personal branding agency for lawyers actually does
Most agencies hand you a content calendar and wish you luck. We research who retains you, write the scripts around your personality, direct the shoot, build the creative, publish it, and turn the engagement into organic inquiries. One 90 minute ideation call, two shoot days of two hours each, and a monthly performance review is all we need from you.
-
Audience research and content ideation for law firms
We map who actually retains you before a word gets written: which community sends your files, which language they think in, and which of your practice areas is worth the camera time. Then a recorded 60 to 90 minute ideation call on Google Meet turns your own closed files into the month's scripts. That call is where the specifics come from, and specifics are the entire difference between a reel that travels and a reel that summarises a statute.
-
Legal reel scripts your client can actually follow
Every reel is written in Hinglish, Punjabi, Gujarati or English, built around a real situation with the identifying details stripped out: the refusal letter that arrived with copy-paste reasons, the spouse who was marked non-accompanying, the employer who changed the shifts after the injury, the house that only had one name on the title. No win rates, no outcome promises, and a not-legal-advice line on every single one.
-
Video shoot direction for lawyers
Two shoot days cover a month of content. Two hours each, four hours a month in total. We tell you where to stand, what to wear and how to deliver the first line. Lawyers are the hardest vertical to direct, because the instinct is to qualify every sentence, and a qualified first line loses the viewer before the story starts.
-
Reel editing built for watch time
Captions, pacing, hook framing and sound design tuned for how people actually watch Reels: muted, one-handed, half asleep at midnight. Burned-in subtitles carry more weight in Hinglish than in English, because most people read the line before they hear it. The disclaimer is part of the template, not an afterthought stuck in the caption. Read our breakdown of the editing mistakes that lose a viewer early.
-
Turning Instagram views into consultations
Every reel ends in a single keyword CTA. Someone comments the keyword, an automated DM goes out in seconds, and the conversation lands in a CRM with the enquiry tagged by source. Legal enquiries arrive at bad hours by definition: a refusal letter opened at 11pm, a termination on a Friday afternoon, a police call on a Sunday. A firm that answers then is the firm that gets retained.

Meta and Google ads for law firms
OptionalGrowth stays organic. For firms that also want paid intake we plan and run Meta lead campaigns and Google ads, and we run SEO on Uplift AI, our AI SEO partner. Ad creative gets built the way we build a viral reel: scripted, shot and edited to be watched. The full method is written out on our Meta lead ads page, and it applies to a consultation funnel with the offer swapped.

Both of our firms are in Ontario, close enough to shoot at the studio in Mississauga. Law societies are provincial and each one writes its own marketing rules, so the compliance details change the moment you cross a border.
Greater Toronto Area
Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Milton, Oakville, Caledon
Both firms on this page work out of the GTA, and it is where the volume is: the most immigration files, the most employment claims and the most firms competing for both. It is also where a reel gets shared into a family WhatsApp group the same evening it goes up.

Ontario beyond the GTA
Ottawa, Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton, London, Windsor
Smaller communities, fewer desi-language firms, and a client who will drive two hours to sit with a lawyer who speaks the language their parents speak. Reach is cheaper here and the referral chains are shorter.
The rest of Canada, run remotely
British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia
Everything except the shoot is already remote in our other verticals. Lawyers are licensed provincially and each law society writes its own marketing rules, so an account in Surrey is scripted to the Law Society of British Columbia and one in Calgary to the Law Society of Alberta.
Legal content marketing questions, answered
The questions that come up on almost every first call, answered the way we answer them on the call: shoot days, Law Society compliance, languages, which practice areas actually work, and how long consultations really take.
Yes, for the content that works best. Somebody choosing a lawyer is deciding who to trust with the worst week of their life, and that decision starts with seeing your face and hearing how you explain something. You do not need to be polished. Most of our clients were uncomfortable on camera in month one and stopped noticing by month two. We direct every shoot, so you are never guessing what to say.
Yes, and we build for the rule rather than around it. Lawyers are licensed provincially, so in Ontario it is the Law Society of Ontario and its Rules of Professional Conduct that govern your marketing. The rule that matters most is that marketing has to be true, accurate and verifiable, and must not be misleading, confusing or deceptive. In practice that means four things in every reel we write. No win rates and no outcome promises, because you cannot verify a future result. No calling yourself a specialist or an expert unless you are certified under the Law Society's Certified Specialist Program. A visible disclaimer that the post is general information and not legal advice, so nothing creates a lawyer and client relationship. And no client matter goes on camera without consent and anonymisation, because privilege does not lapse because a case closed. Send your firm's marketing policy over before the first shoot and we script to it.
Nothing changes except the room. You need a decent mic, which we will pick for you, and an iPhone or any good phone. Our team gets on a Google Meet, sets the space up with you at the office, then stays on the call and directs you line by line through every script, exactly as we would in the studio. Where a shoot needs more than a phone, we arrange a professional videographer in your city.
Hinglish, Punjabi, Gujarati and English. The language is chosen per client, not per company, and it follows where your files come from rather than where you practise. A family deciding whether to appeal a refusal talks it through at the kitchen table in Punjabi, and the lawyer they call is usually the one whose explanation they understood first.
Immigration is the practice we have the most evidence in. 96 of the 219 reels on this page are immigration and PR content and they carry 17,518,725 views, which is 65% of the total, all of it on one practice. The full breakdown of that account is in the Kapil Rathod case study. We also produce litigation, employment, family and estates content, and the practice-area table above says what each one actually did rather than what we would like it to have done.
Anonymised case stories, by roughly two to one. Across all 219 reels, the 102 that open on a real client's situation average 172,013 views and the 117 that open on the rule average 80,885. That gap holds separately on both firms, 2.2 times on an immigration practice and 1.7 times on a litigation practice, which is why we treat it as a format rule rather than one account's quirk. It is also the format that needs the most care, because a client's story only goes out with consent and with every identifying detail removed.
Both firms on this page together cover 8 practice areas and every one of them has reels on it. Immigration carries the largest total because it has the most volume behind it, but personal injury has the highest average of any area at 417,701 views a reel from only 10 posts. Employment, wills and estates, and civil fraud recovery all sit above 88,000. The full breakdown is in the table above, and the pattern in it is that an area works when the situation is one the viewer can picture happening to their own family.
That is where both of these accounts started. Kapil Rathod's profile did not exist before June 2025 and is at 63,397 followers now. Nakul Chhibbar's first real month was October 2025 and he is at 13,027. A small account is not the problem. Posting a firm logo and an office photo once a fortnight is the problem. The first 90 days are about volume and consistency.
36 videos, because we produce 12 a month. Views move first, usually inside the first 30 to 60 days. Across these two accounts the median reel did 61,228 views on the immigration practice and 9,229 on the litigation practice, and the averages are carried by a handful of reels, so the early ones sit well below either number while the account finds its audience. Inbound consultations follow in month two or three, once your profile has enough content that a stranger can tell what kind of files you actually run.
Both, and the same team makes both. Every follower, view and comment we report is organic, with zero ad spend behind it. Separately, for firms that want paid intake volume, we run Meta lead campaigns and Google ads, and we build that ad creative the way we build a viral reel: scripted and edited to be watched rather than skipped. That is why our ad creative tends to pull cheaper leads than a firm name and a phone number over a stock photo of a gavel.
Ask us before you sign. We keep deliberate distance between firms chasing the same client in the same practice area in the same city, and we will tell you honestly on the call whether your area is already taken. The two firms on this page overlap on almost nothing, which is not an accident.
What does social media marketing for lawyers actually get you?
Social media marketing for lawyers works when the content describes a client's situation before the viewer has to explain it. That is what 219 reels and 27 million views across two Ontario firms come down to: anonymised cases with consent, scripts in the language spoken at home, a face the client recognises before the first call, and a CRM that catches the DM the moment it arrives. Organic reach carries most of it, and Meta and Google campaigns run alongside for the firms that want paid intake as well. The first three months are slow. Month four is usually where it starts compounding. The Kapil Rathod breakdown covers one of these accounts in detail, and the same method built our mortgage roster and our realtor roster.
