Malika Mehrotra case study: the Vastu realtor whose reach came from somewhere else

This Malika Mehrotra case study covers eight months on a Mississauga realtor's account: 78 reels and 10.4 million organic views between October 2025 and June 2026. She had posted 72 reels herself before that, averaging 1,547 views. Ours averaged 133,962. That is 86.6 times, the largest lift we have measured on any account.

All organic. No boosted posts and no bought reach behind any of it. Every figure on this page is scoped to October 2025 to 7 June 2026 and recounted from a full scrape of the account on 18 August 2026, so the profile can be opened and checked against it.

What does Malika Mehrotra say about TheXMedia?

The reach is the headline. What she talks about is the phone ringing about Vastu.

She came for consistent reach into the Hindi-speaking audience, and specifically into the people who take Vastu seriously when they buy a house. She had under a thousand followers at the start and finished past ten thousand.

By her account the enquiries are mostly Vastu consultations rather than listing enquiries: somebody has found a house in Canada and wants to know whether its Vastu is sound before they commit. She became recognisable across the Punjabi, Pakistani, South Indian and Gujarati communities here who care about it.

She was doing one or two deals a month and says she roughly doubled that, to three or four.

What she says she valued was not only the videos. It was the process work and the tooling we built around them for running a real estate business at that volume.

Malika Mehrotra's account of what the work did for the business, as described to us. It is their telling rather than something we measured.

Who is Malika Mehrotra?

Malika Mehrotra is a Vastu-certified realtor working Mississauga, Hamilton, Oakville, Caledon and Markham, scripting in Hindi. Vastu is the Indian architectural tradition governing how a building should be oriented and laid out, and a certified realtor who can advise on it is a genuinely narrow specialism in Canadian real estate.

She came to us with under a thousand followers and one goal: consistent reach, so that the Hindi-speaking audience and specifically the people who care about Vastu would know she existed. She finished the engagement above ten thousand.

The reels we made for her

What goes out on the days between reels?

Reels carry the reach and statics keep the feed alive between them. Across the eight months that meant 78 reels alongside 43 static posts and 22 carousels, all designed and scheduled as part of the package.

Her engagement ran from October 2025 to 7 June 2026, and every figure on this page is scoped to it.

What did Malika ask for?

She asked for reach into two overlapping audiences: Hindi speakers in the GTA, and people who take Vastu seriously when they buy.

What the run actually produced is more interesting than that, and it is the reason this page exists. The reels that travelled were not about Vastu. They were about the experience of arriving and building a life here: what you give up moving country, a Pakistani woman buying alone right after her PR came through, a couple who waited ten years for a child. Her four biggest reels are all of that kind.

The Vastu is what converts. By her account the inbound is people who have found a house and want to know whether its Vastu is sound before they commit, a consultation request rather than a listing enquiry. The stories brought the audience; the specialism gave them a reason to call.

Beyond the content we built her the process and the tooling to handle that inbound, which is the part she brings up when asked what she valued.

Which reels built the account?

These are the five biggest of the run, from 3,145,714 views down to 842,900. Not one of them is about Vastu, and that is the finding rather than an oversight. Play any of them beside the reasoning.

3.15M Apr 2026

A comparison of what life actually costs and gives you in different countries: healthcare, work, the quality of the day. 10,232 comments, which is the most argued-with reel on our entire roster.

Everybody who has emigrated has run this calculation privately. Saying it out loud is what made it the biggest thing on her account, and it has nothing to do with real estate.

3,145,714 views and 10,232 comments, the most-discussed reel we have produced.

What made the Malika Mehrotra case study work?

  1. The reach and the conversion came from different content. Her four reels over a million are all diaspora life stories and none of them mention Vastu. The inbound she reports is almost entirely Vastu consultation requests. Stories assemble an audience; the specialism is what gives them a reason to call you specifically.
  2. Publish the median next to the mean. 86.6 times on the mean is the largest lift we have measured, and it rests on four enormous reels. On the median the account went 836 to 4,075, about 4.9 times. Both are true and only one of them is a plan.
  3. A niche is a reason to call, not a content strategy. Scripting only Vastu content would have addressed the people who already knew they wanted it. The life stories reached people who did not know the specialism existed, and some of them then wanted it.
  4. It did not survive the engagement ending. In the 25 reels since 7 June 2026 the account has averaged 24,896 views against 133,962 during. Above where it started, well below where it was.

Frequently asked questions

10,449,101 organic views across 78 reels between October 2025 and 7 June 2026, averaging 133,962 with a median of 4,075. Four reels passed a million and 13 passed a hundred thousand. The biggest did 3,145,714.

It is arithmetic on a public account: 72 reels averaging 1,547 before, 78 averaging 133,962 during. It is also the largest lift on this site and it is driven by four reels over a million, which is why the median is published beside it: 836 to 4,075, about 4.9 times. Plan against the median.

Because Vastu is a reason to hire her, not a reason to watch a video. The reels that travelled are about emigrating, buying alone, and what a decade of waiting costs. Her Vastu certification is what turns a viewer into a phone call once they have found a house they are unsure about.

Her account of it: mostly Vastu consultations, people who have found a property in Canada and want to know whether its orientation and layout are sound before they commit. She also reports going from one or two deals a month to three or four. Those are her figures, not something we can measure from outside.

Because the subject matter is shared and the language is mutually intelligible. Her 1.03M reel is about a Pakistani woman buying alone. Communities that a media plan keeps in separate rows watch the same video when it is about something they have all lived.

Yes. Alongside the 78 reels this engagement published 43 statics and 22 carousels, designed and scheduled as part of the package so the feed never has an empty day.

No. The engagement ran from October 2025 to 7 June 2026 and every number here is scoped to it. The 25 reels published since are not our work and are excluded throughout.

Ask before you sign. We keep deliberate distance between agents selling to the same buyers in the same city, and we will tell you on the call whether your area is taken.

What does the Malika Mehrotra case study prove?

That the content which earns the audience and the content which earns the call are usually not the same thing. 78 reels and 10.4 million views between October 2025 and June 2026 came from stories about arriving in Canada, not from Vastu. The Vastu certification is what those viewers rang about once a house was on the table. A niche is the reason to choose you; it is rarely the reason to watch. The same method runs across our realtor roster, and the numbers for Ravi Dhir, Shitul Patel, Benny Jain, Anand Mistry, Rick and Manisha and Varun Kalia are written up the same way, each scoped to its own engagement.
